Division of Muse Relations - Your weekly dose of story-starters!

1. There's a door in a hedge that has only a brick wall behind it, but sometimes golden light shines out from under it. Who is curious enough to investigate? What do they find? What happens to them--adventure or retribution?

2. Children in a quiet neighborhood keep seeing strange shadowy beings walking around in the streets outside their homes, but the adults never see them. They never come into the homes, and never even seem to notice that there are homes there, but they're definitely doing something. Are any of the kids brave enough to find out what?

3. A woman's cat has always been the sort to bring home small animals--usually alive--and drop them at her feet. But now the mice have been replaced by stranger things. What is the cat bringing home now? Where is he finding them? What happens when he lets them loose in the house? And what can the woman do about them?

4. A young boy sees a unicorn in a public park, and isn't happy about the whole virgin association. But the unicorn keeps showing up, and looks sort of lost in the middle of a big city. What does he do about it?

5. Someone goes shopping for hammers and picks up what looks like a rough old sledgehammer--and happens to be the Hammer of Thor. They're worthy, but they really don't know what to do with all that power and responsibility, so they go looking for Thor. Do they find him? Where? Is he still worthy? Can the power be given back? What happens along the way?

As always, these are free for you to use, but if you like them and post something somewhere with a web address, I'd love to see them!
